The Studio

Whatever you want to achieve, the Whitelight studio has everything needed to make a record from start to finish. By blending the best of digital and analogue technology, we’ve created a space that delivers top-quality sound.
Gear & Setup
Based around a Mac Pro running Logic Pro and a UAD interface, the studio features state-of-the-art digital and analogue technologies. The studio computer is packed with instruments and plugins from all the major developers including UAD, Fabfilter, Spectrasonics, Native Instruments, Arturia, Sound Toys, Native Instruments – the list goes on.
Acoustically measured and treated, it is an excellent environment for recording, mixing and mastering. Neumann valve microphones take care of most recording situations running through an Avalon VT 737. A Trident channel strip and Thermionic culture Phoenix compressor are also available when required to add an analogue vibe to digital recordings.
A wide range of acoustic, electric and bass guitars are available, as well as keyboards and Roland V Drums for live drum performances.

Comfort & Convenience
The studio sits within a building dedicated to music and the arts in central Exeter. With air-conditioning and windows providing plenty of natural light, it’s a comfortable and welcoming space to record.
When you need a break, you’ll have access to a communal kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee, plus a place to relax.
We’re in a great location on Exeter’s High Street, close to shops, restaurants and bars. You’ll also find plenty of public car parks close by, and the studio is easily accessible with excellent transport links from London.
We’re ready and waiting to bring your production to life.
